Dutch Rococo Revival 1890s Bombé Vitrine with Glass Doors and Single Drawer

A Dutch walnut Rococo Revival bombé vitrine from the late 19th century, with glass doors and a single drawer. Created in the Netherlands during the last decade of the 19th century, this vitrine features exquisite lines reminiscent of the Rococo era. Its bonnet-type pediment showcases an oval medallion carved with a lady's profile, topped with a bow and foliage motifs. The upper section is adorned with a bead-and-reel frieze and two glass doors flanked by canted sides, revealing four inner shelves for displaying decorative objects. The bombé-shaped lower section includes a long drawer with a central escutcheon and lateral handles, while the side posts feature bows echoing the crest, draped with delicate garlands. The sinuous skirt is highlighted by a carved urn at its center, enhancing the harmonious visual balance. Raised on two ball-and-claw feet in the front and straight feet in the back, this Dutch walnut vitrine circa 1890, with its delicate lines and lovely patina, is an excellent choice for any living room or foyer.
