An Italian Neoclassical period crotch mahogany and walnut console table from the 18th century with marquetry décor, tapered legs and single drawer. This console table features a rectangular top adorned with crotch mahogany and walnut banding, sitting above an elegant apron with a décor echoed from the top. The central section conceals a single drawer. This drawer opens thanks to an ornate escutcheon, to reveal a paper lined interior. Its dovetail construction demonstrates the table's good age. The ensemble is raised on four tapered legs with molded accents on the knees. The sides are similar to the front and the back showcases a dark stain. The table will therefore benefit from being placed against a wall.
